These last couple of days have felt like months. A lot of excitement has accumlated into what I think is something that I’m really proud to be apart of. Yes, it concerns movies, no, I’m not quitting
Kirrafication Studios or Kirra/Cannon Productions. They will continue to exist as they always have.

I was approached by Shanaura Vaillancourt (currently casted as Hilda Blackwood for the Marty's Adventure project and recent addition to the Kirrafication Studios roster) after expressing my grievances with Kirrafication Studios. For awhile I had considered starting another video group of some kind but I wanted it to be different and not just Kirrafication 2.0. That’s where this all came into play.

I’m really happy to be working with someone whom I respect in many different ways, as a person, and as an artist. This whole thing was Shanaura’s idea, so finally for once I'll get to experience riding shotgun. Already I can see the doors being opened and that light at the end of the tunnel. This is going to be amazing. We’re starting off with the vivianloses project that I hyped earlier on in the year, but I’m sure we’ll be doing other things while that’s in production.

Keeping Things in Order

Just a quick note for you guys, a ton of videos on the Kirrafication Studios channel are going to be moved to the Kirra/Cannon Productions channel for sake of organization. What does this mean for you? Probably nothing, but I think it's time our older catalog found it's proper place.As you know, I operate in Kirra Time™, so when I say something is coming "soon", it usually means in the dark future of 2014. But hopefully the move will be completed by today, if not by the end of this week, and if not then, probably in a couple months. Point is, it'll definitely be done before I'm dead. Possibly.Anyways, I plan on updating this blog a bit more often. I've written a couple of posts but they obviously never saw the light of day. So we'll see what happens!

K/CP Presents ZOMBIE MONTH! (Plus a new video!)

Ahh Dead Rising 2, sometimes weird, sometimes awkward, always fun. GO BUY IT NOW!

Anyways, this our first new video in...wow, five months! Sorry, we actually HAVE been busy with movies and stuff, mainly Treemake, which is moving along at the pace of a slug. Dead Rising 2 managed to get us out of our creative slump with it's sheer awesomeness and the fact that protagonist Chuck Greene makes Chuck Norris look like Clay Aiken.

So what else has been cookin' in the land of K/CP? A ton! The DVD is being worked on, of course, and we've got some nifty deluxe edition stuff for ya. We're going be announcing that later once we actually, you know, can decide on what it is.

John Cannon has also been brewing up a review for Dead Rising 2, part of our all-month holiday, ZOMBIE MONTH. It probably has to do with zombies, by the way. Anyways, Kirrafication is taking cue with a new header for the month, along with some tasty (ew) reviews of some stuff coming up. More updates as they come!

Delays, Delays

So the awesome exciting counter nobody noticed on the side has counted down (a week ago) for the movie, TREES (2010)! So how was filming?

Non-existent! :D

It all started with Donovan dropping out of filming due to...well, stuff. Chris still came down to film, and we had planned to film Fun Time 2 and a spin-off featuring the Agent, but those literally went nowhere, so nothing was finished.

Now, we'll be shooting in the winter time, hopefully when it's cooler and not as freaking hot outside. We're still aiming for the stars on this project, which along with Fun Time 2, will officially END the Sunset on a Distant Planetside era of Kirra/Cannon Productions! Now what does the end of an era mean for K/CP?

Bigger risks in Filming
Different projects (not just action/comedy). You might see some romance, some noir, just something outside of our current comfort zone.
Core Cast Changes
Some of our core cast will make less appearances to allow for some newcomers. Now this doesn't mean we'll be eliminating anybody out of K/CP, but I'm sure some new actors wouldn't hurt :)
A Different ThemeThe K/CP network (which consists of our respective and joint Youtube pages, this blog, and some other random pages) has all maintained the Sunset on a Distant Planetside theme. The look and feel of all of this will change. Will our next era be as catchy? Well, you'll see :)

Of course, we're not quite there yet. The SoaDP DVD/Blu-Ray will be the official end of the era, which will come with some pre-order bonuses, which will be announced once we get closer to that date!

Last thing to note, we are opening a K/CP Merch shop, which opens next month! Expect to see your favorite Trees characters on shirts and mugs and whatever else we can plaster them on!

I'm Not Diggin' It

Let's get the bad news out of the way, the War Veteran movie that we had planned to be released a couple months back has now officially been canceled. I know, pretty sad for those who wanted to see it. But hey, you will get to see it! How? It's going to be integrated into Treemake! At least, the important events...

Now, why would we cancel a movie (besides Viral and Desolation)? Well, it was really due to the way it was turning out. Let me give you a bit of background on the conception of the movie. If you haven't seen Trees 3: The Treelogy, and don't want the plot to be spoiled, turn back later and then complain that I didn't warn you.

War Veteran (The Movie) began life as Groove Veteran. Groove Veteran was to be a period piece based in the 70's, even though the events took place in modern times. Mostly, it was because I was interested in seeing if I could emulate the filming style a lot of 70's kung-fu/action flicks achieved. Right off the bat, the first thing I needed was a very colorful, saturated setting. Unlike the drab, dying meadow of Trees 3 Act 2, the setting for Groove Veteran would've vibrant, and most of all, cheerful. Even though it was a spin-off of Trees, the feel would've been completely different.

Our next big task was giving Groove Veteran character. The Trees 3 Groove Vet teaser was the closest I had gotten to making Groove Veteran well...groovy. Due to time constraints, a lot of characterization I had planned for him fell through, which may or may not be a good thing. Donovan Mobley (the actor behind Groove Vet) had pretty much made the character his own, not to mention it was entirely his idea in the first place. Prior to the actual filming of Trees 3, Donovan was still slated to play War Veteran, a character whom had appeared in Trees 1 and would be returning in Trees 3 along with the rest of the Trees 1 characters. When the format of Trees III changed to having two parts taking place in two different time periods, Groove Veteran was conceptualized as the precursor to War Veteran.

The second take of Trees III Act 2 would have Groove Veteran coming back, revealed to be War Veteran all along. Travel plans with Donovan didn't work out quite right, and War Veteran was then slated to be played by his first actor, Stephen Farrell. The unused second take of Trees III was the first to have John Cannon revealed have taken on Wesker's powers and memories, but he also had brainwashed War Veteran, who through fancy surgery, had taken on a different appearance. War Veteran was used to get to the Agent, to catch him off guard. Fortunately, things didn't go according to plan and the take was ditched, along with War Veteran returning in Act 2.

The War Veteran is brought back in an unused take of Trees III: The Treelogy (Act 2). A mediocre story and a mosquito-laden shoot led this to being canned, making way for the final take.

This did however, leave us open to have a better explanation of why Groove Veteran survived. After looking at the characters of Trees, I picked Groove Veteran to expand upon in a spin-off. After setting up the dates for John and I to fly down to Oklahoma for Wesker Week, we were set to get the details finalized.

The Agent and the Doctor were also considered for a spin-off.

The plot of Groove Veteran was to tie in directly with Act 1, taking place only a couple days prior. The T-Virus had been reportedly stolen, and Groove Vet was assigned to retrieve it from a woman named Mercuria Diavionne. Groove Vet wouldn't be alone, and he would be assisted by a partner: John Cannon.

John Cannon gets a redesign for War Veteran. Bootleg Snake was also considered for a potential partner to Groove Vet.

John and Groove Vet make way into Mercuria's hide-out, fighting off her thugs, before facing the woman herself. She reveals that Wesker himself had sold her the T-Virus, and gets a shot off on John before Groove Vet apprehends her.

Back at Wesker Corp, Groove Veteran reports back to Wesker, cautious. Immediately he is sent on another mission...to bring back an eco-terrorist. Groove Veteran begrudgingly takes on the mission, with a new partner, the Agent, leading into Act 1...

Wesker had intended to confront John and Groove Vet and finish them off, but seeing has John was likely not going to make it due to the bullet wound, he sent the Agent, a rookie who had never seen any real action, in John's place. While "killing" Groove Veteran, he didn't see his defeat at the hands of the Agent coming, and thus his plot was foiled.

After the credits, the distant voice of the Doctor would be heard, saying that the only way to save Groove Veteran was to inject him with Trees virus, which had an off-chance of either killing him anyways, or causing amnesia. The latter happened, and with the loss of certain memories, he lost his "groove".

The critical deciding factor that changed the movie from Groove Veteran to War Veteran was nothing more than a haircut.

The plan for the movie started to falter when Donovan got a haircut. Seeing as the story was to take place a couple days before Act 1, Groove Vet having longer hair in a couple days didn't really make sense. Moving the story back a couple months would also be odd, because the reason Wesker sent Groove Vet on the mission to apprehend the "eco-terrorist" was to get rid of any loose ends.

Things also started to pile up. We lost a couple of actors (in the "they quit" sorta way, not the "they died" way), with Chris Meeks (who plays Wesker) taking the role of every small-fry minion in the movie. With the severely limited cast, this cut out a significant number of new characters that were to be introduced (the most notable being Mercedes Cortes, a canon immigrant from WildWeasel and I's Agent Hernandez Doom project (fun fact: the Hernandez and Diaz mentioned in Act 2: Prologue were also from the same story. I hear someone is doing a project on the former...hmmm).

The lack of new characters forced me to come up with Ricardo, the cocky Australian right-hand man to Mercuria. This added more depth to Mercuria, who Ricardo heavily hinted that he lusted after.

Ricardo came about in an act of desperation, but ended up being one of my favorite characters out of the movie. He was incredibly fun to portray, Mercuria had some legitimately funny conversations with him. Originally due to the balaclava, I had some fun saying that Ricardo was played by someone other than myself. This shows in the Wesker Week video "Ending", where Ricardo is credited as himself rather than to me. Unfortunately, John revealed it a couple of times on our live chat, which prompted me to stop hiding it.

War Vet easily takes down the startled Goku-Minion. This will be the only one he takes down in the entire course of the movie.

The biggest problem with War Veteran is that it could've been called "John Cannon" and it would've made more sense. War Vet unfortunately was covered up by John's performance, who was a bit more outgoing and dispatched almost all the Chris minions by himself. Although the characters were fun, War Veteran couldn't really stand on it's own as a movie, which is what prompted me to cancel it and include scenes from it in Trees. It's better this way, really. :)

Speaking of Trees, we've officially entered the production stage! Props have been ordered as of last week, and let me tell you, this movie is going to have some of the best props we've ever used! It's also been the biggest budget we've had, with it being somewhere around a thousand dollars. It's exciting, and it's gonna be awesome! We're going out with a bang, as they say. :)

Several Things That Shoulda Been Posted Already!

Hey Kirra-Nation! Anyways, sorry about the lack of updates lately. I finally got a job and I'm slowly working on getting my license. It's happening pretty fast and it's allowing me to do cool and exciting things in my life...liking having a life!

Anyways, we've officially announced what the four in my previous post mean! It's a remake of Trees 1, called...TREES! Check out the official announcement on the K/CP forums, link located in the sidebar.

So how is Treemake (our official nickname for the remake) going to be different from our other movies? For one, we're going all out on it. We're not cutting corners at all. To close off the Trees saga, Treemake will be sixty-six minutes long, or six Acts. Every character we've shown thus far will be in the movie in some shape or form. Most imfamously, the character Lucy Sparrow (who was even shown in some publicity shots but cut out and replaced with Davina Harmony in the final take) will be finally making her first appearance (played by K/CP newcomer Sydney Shizue Canaan).

Now what about that War Veteran movie? I'm not too sure. I'm still working on it, but it's not turning out the way I want it to. Unfortunately the two new characters it introduces have a role in Treemake, so I can't release it after. It'll be done though, I assure you that much.

We've got a couple other projects in the pipelines, but that's about all I have to announce. Stay tuned for more info on Treemake and War Veteran!

Alrighty guys, if you've watched our live show (don't lie and say you did), tonight we did a live commentary on the classic *cough cough* Nicolas Cage movie, The Wicker Man! Probably one of the "best" movies I've seen in a long time. We recorded a large portion of the commentary, and you can find that by clicking on KCP Live button on the sidebar!

After a very short conversation with John, we've decided to premier all of our new movies on UStream for KCP Live! When can you see them? Why thanks for asking non-existent person! 8 PM Central! We might be a little late occasionally, but whatever.

A War With Guns

Hey! What's up? Long time no see, heh, noticed you weren't there. You know, don't act like you forgot. Yeah, the live show. You weren't there. I trusted you. And you let me down.

How could you? :(

Well, if you truly forgot, I was referring to the Kirra/Cannon Productions Live Show that happens every Friday at 8PM Central! Why, just today we broadcasted to a ton of fans and they got to see a sneak peak of our NEW movie before anyone else! Now since you weren't there, you have to watch it on YouTube like the lamer you are.

It's all good though, I'm just messing with you, figment of my imagination. Yeah, we're now doing a live show every Friday (date my change) at eight, with a nifty Q&A/Random talk session afterwards! Next Friday we have something special lined up (It's not a K/CP movie!), but I'm sure you're just eagerly awaiting to find out what it is! Well...it's awesome, that's what it is.

Trees III Updates...for the LAST TIME!

I'm sort've mobile for the moment so no flashy graphics or what have you.

Trees III Act 2 has been COMPLETELY FILMED! Not to mention COMPLETELY EDITED (for the most part)! I realize I missed my release date of...yesterday, but rendering an eleven minute HD video takes six hours and I've got a plane to catch.

You can expect Chapter 2 later tonight, hopefully, but also...there's one more video after that! "Epilogue" will cover the aftermath of Chapter 2 and wrap up the series. It'll be on the shorter side like Chapter 1 and the Prologue were, but I think it's a great closer for the saga.

I've edited the post below with the new dates for chapter 2 and the epilogue, I hope you've enjoyed what we've released so far! Fancy picture thing for the epilogue will come when I have time to make it. Until later, amigos!

This is it amigos! The moment all five of you who read this have been waiting for! The Trees saga is finally coming to a close! Sorry about the wait, but I think the wait has definitely made this movie way more impressive and I personally can't wait to share it with you! The above pictures will turn COLORED whenever the part is available.

Moving on, Kirra/Cannon Productions has a new FORUM! That's right! Although the link has been on the sidebar for almost the entire lifetime of this blog, it actually has relevance to what I'm talking about! Interact with our fans and talk about Trees, Fun Time, and whatever floats your boat! It's the picture of me and Donovan with a giant F and some random other background things. The icon will change soon, whenever I feel like it, that is. That's how things work around here at Kirrafication, anyways.

That's about it, nothing new worth noting besides those things. I did have the most random thought though...I really want to have a pet named Dumpy. That's an awesome name.

Here Comes the Countdown!

When he's not teasing his fans with blurry pictures or hell, even working on new music (yeah right), Trent Reznor comes to his favorite blog and refreshes the main page over and over again to see if there's any updates. We can also assume he goes to the Kirra/Cannon Productions Youtube channel and checks to see if Trees III: The Treelogy (Act 2) has been uploaded. Day after day, he's walks away disappointed and goes back to whatever he was doing before. Poor Trent.

Oh yeah, and there's the rest of you guys too. Things have been going moderately well lately, I figured I'll break this post down into bitesize chunks of awesomeness.

TREES III ACT 2

A nice huge chunk of Act 2 was filmed last Sunday, and let me tell you, this movie is going to kick Act 1 in the ass with how awesome it is. Editing the footage we've got, Act 2 is turning out to be somewhat more that I expected, so it looks like we're going to have to break it up into two parts. Act 2 (Prologue) will be released before Act 2, which will obviously lead up into Act 2 itself. I don't think the prologue is going to take a full eleven minutes, so it might be a bit more digestible than Act 1 was.

After a bit of planning, we're going to be doing an alternate ending for Act 2 as well. Where can you see this amazing alternate ending? The DVD, of course! Tentative release dates for both Act 2 and Act 2 (Prologue) are mid-March at the latest.

NOT TREES

Despite the upcoming month being filled with nothing but Trees (and a spin-off coming in April), John and I are indeed working on things not related to Trees! You can expect a return to our traditional humor very soon, and although I'm not entirely sure if I've announced it here yet, you guys are gonna have a fun time figuring out what the new movie is!

JOHN CANNON

Just felt like typing out John Cannon in a bold capitals. While his newest video has become incredibly popular (almost 700 views!), he has yet to follow it up with anything else. At the moment we're trying to direct the attention to our new KCP account with a short video we made, but hopefully Act 1 starts getting some views soon!

KIRRAFICATION (THE VLOG)

After the huge flop that was my short-lived weekly vlog series, I've done some thinking to myself about what I could to make them better (and watchable). Three attempts to make a new episode have gone pretty sour so far, but I would really like to pick back up on that. I was thinking about reviewing some Doom mods (since that seems to attract the most attention on my channel), or something else. Not entirely sure yet.

That's about it for right now! I'll be making some minor changes here and there on the blog layout. Check out the Act 2 Promo Stills folder up on my Majhost account if you're interested (which, you know you are!)

Sunset on a Distant Planetside Delayed

John and I have been working extremely hard the past couple of months to put out videos on our new youtube channel, but unfortunately real life is getting in the way. Luckily for us we don't have a big fan base (YET), but it would probably help productivity a bit if we did.

The FINAL shoot for Trees III: The Treelogy- Act 2 was supposed to occur today, however everybody we needed for the movie had other plans, so hopefully we're going to be shooting next Sunday. After that, we'll be done with Trees saga for the foreseeable future (but perhaps the characters might have some stories to tell...?)

For those of you guys who don't follow me on Twitter or have me on Facebook, the director's cut of Trees III: Act 1 will be around 20 minutes long. Yep, twice it's original length! Our planned release date of the DVD, Sunset on a Distant Plantside, was to be later this month. Due to wanting to put out a quality product and not gimp our fans, we're pushing the release date back into April. I know I know, before you throw your tomatoes, this is going to mean a higher quality product. To make up for the delay, there's going to be more videos included, and some other improvements.

First off, I'm looking into mixing all of the movies into...SURROUND SOUND! It's going to be difficult with our older movies, but the end result should be worth it! Next, I need some input on whether or not to do the entire DVD in widescreen. This would mean cropping older videos, but thankfully those are few in number. These videos would be selectively cropped (meaning I won't just be cropping the entire thing the same way, shots would be framed to ensure nothing gets cut off that is essential). What do you guys think?

We're looking (yet again) for a female actress to portray Lucy Sparrow in Trees III Act 2. Any takers? :)

Trees III Trailer Dump and News!

This is it! All of the trailers have been released, and the final movie is underway!

Now, how is this going to work? First off, I'd like to officially announce here that John and I are moving to a joint YouTube channel where we will reupload our videos with minor edits, and officially debut the movie we've shamelessly hyped you up for!

This is our longest movie yet, and by long and I mean long. Twenty straight minutes of heart-pounding, fist-clenching, edge of your seat Tree action. Due to Youtube being kind of lame, we have to divide the movie into two parts, which is fine because the movie is a two-parter anyways.

Act 1 will detail the past. Why is the Agent so awesome? How did he become the Tree hunter we saw in TREES II- The Treelogy? Who is this Wesker character, and why does he seem so familiar? Most of all, why are Trees evil?

Act 2 will continue on the story, taking place after TREES II- The Treelogy. Will our heroes be able to stop the Tree menace? Who knows! Well, we do, but you won't until much later!

For the first time in our movies you get to see guns actually FIRE, pretty intense combat, and somewhat of a story! This is our best movie yet and I can't wait to share it with you guys as soon as it's finished!

Which, speaking of, why isn't it finished? Well, Act 1 is completely edited and ready to be uploaded, however John and I decided to upload the movies one after the other. So we're going to wait until Act 2 is finished for that to happen. I did toy around with uploading Act 1 first so you guys can watch it, we'll see where that goes.

Now, for those of you out there that really care, due to Youtube's time limit we had to cut a lot of scenes out of the movie, however, Vimeo doesn't have a time limit for videos, so you guys might actually be able to see a length director's cut version of the two movies, edited together for one long continuous film! Regardless if we decide to upload the extended version, on our upcoming DVD, Sunset on a Distant Planetside, that will be the version included on there. :D

Now onto the new stuff! The Trees saga may be coming to a close, but we aren't done making movies yet! Our next venture into serious movies is well underway, with Viral! Viral is a horror-flick, centered around a group of people who try to escape the city after a horrible virus is unleashed! While the teaser trailer was released, it wasn't exactly what I had in mind for the movie, and it doesn't really showcase the real feeling of the movie. We're currently casting for Viral, so while John and I are guaranteed to be in it (obviously :P), you're going to be seeing a lot of new faces.

Moving on, as you can see I've updated my blog yet again! There's a few minor nitpicks I have, mainly the stupid blog title over my lovely artsy one. If anybody can help me fix that without screwing up my twitter updates, that'd be much appreciated. Comments on the new layout and such are welcome!

I have a couple more things I'd like to run over before I end this huge post. A couple of people have asked where to send requests for the DVD, and for the moment we don't have anything in particular set up. Sunset on a Distant Planetside/Trees III Update!

So we're finally getting close to the filming process of TREES III: The Treelogy. We're getting a basic gist of the storyline, and let me tell you that not only is this going to be the longest Trees Saga movie (we're looking at around 10-20 minutes here!), it's also going to be the funniest. I can say with confidence that John and I have nailed down what makes us "funny". Not to mention this movie will have our largest cast yet.

You guys (if you've been scouting my Youtube channel) have seen all the teasers for Trees III, for the most part. We have one teaser coming up, focusing on the returning Ethan Gaddy (who played the Doctor in Trees I, and newcomer James Collier playing Tim Johnson's part from Trees I, "A Black Guy". After that, we'll start filming Trees III! :D

Trees III is going to be quite an odd filming process. We currently have two plans. John has suggested we go into the Agent's past, connecting his story with the present. My plan however, is a bit more complicated.

Two of our cast members (Donovan Mobley and Chris Meeks) are a state away from everybody else. So in order to properly unite our cast, we're going to have to do some clever cutting and editing. We'll see how that turns out.

In other news, I'm working on the Kirra/Cannon Productions DVD...Sunset on a Distant Planetside!

This bad boy has been in the works for quite awhile now but it's finally making some new progress. Unfortunately, we had to cut out our movie, "Desolation", simply because we couldn't reshoot it. That leaves us with only the trailers, but I suppose that's okay.

The second edition of How Bad Could It Be? focuses on a mid-90's game called "Island Peril", an extremely weird FPS featuring enemies such as the dastardly bodybuilders in swim trunks, the villainous nerds in trenchcoats, and last but not least, very stolen Doom muzzle flashes!

After Trees III, we're finished with the series. Our next project is something unknown to us, but we're shooting for something dark and mysterious, our first serious movie. Details will come when we make them up.

Another Message from Marty Kirra

A week or so ago, I logged into Youtube. I haven't been getting many comments or rating or what have you, but to my surprise, I had a video response. Who and what could say anything about my "first" video, "A Message from Marty Kirra"? Nothing could prepare me for what was about to take place.

After watching the response video (the video is shown in the beginning of the video I posted above), I knew that this was an opportunity I couldn't pass up.

Now, let me clear up some things about the original video, "A Message from Marty Kirra". It was three o'clock in the morning and John Cannon was spending the night. After putting on a track I dubbed "Overly Happy Song!", we filmed the stupidest video we had shot up to that point. The "I have AIDS." thing was initially meant to contrast the overly happy music in the background. We thought the video was hilarious until watching it the next morning. The luster of the punchline had worn off, but we decided to upload it anyways.

So far, "A Message from Marty Kirra" is my most viewed video on my account. I have never once stated that AIDS is hilarious or that I find my video funny. It's a stupid video and I acknowledge that. However, I firmly believe that my viewers indeed realize the video is stupid and it's meant to be taken with a grain of salt.

The video response prompted me to take A Message from Marty Kirra one step further. Our original plan was to bombard "LibbyWho" (the person who uploaded the video response) with tons of video responses. This included "Another Message from Marty Kirra" (shown above), as well as "spin-off" versions of "A Message from Marty Kirra", featuring John instead of me. This footage might see the light of day soon, but I think I'll give the "I have AIDS" thing a rest. :P

Here we are, Trees II: The Treequel, re-filmed in HD with my new camera.

Here's interesting trivia behind the Treequel. Because I'm bored.

Clever cropping allowed us to achieve the tree attacking John scene. Originally the shot was wayyy too obvious and I thought about leaving it in there for humor purposes. Maybe next time?
My pants ripped at the CROTCH performing the tree jump-kick. Now you will never be able to watch the video the same way again.
The second-post title shot scene originally featured me chunking my gun at the crunched up can. The gun (an Airsoft pistol) was completely demolished.

This was all achieved thanks to my new camera that I got for my birthday. It's incredibly awesome.

For awhile, Nine Inch Nails has been my favorite band. Recently Trent Reznor, the voice and pretty much everything behind NIN, announced he was going on tour with Jane's Addiction and newcomer band, Street Sweeper Social Club. To be honest I've never been to a concert in my life, so I figured now is the best time to go see one.

NIN got me into remixing and producing my own music, and today I figured I'd put something together since I have nothing ELSE to do with my time. The mixing is kind of spotty in places but I still like the sound of it. Hopefully you enjoy my rendition of Closer. It's a free download too!

The Horror of After Effects

A couple of days ago I acquired After Effects in preparation for a movie I'll be shooting in the summer. From what I had heard, Abobe After Effects had a layout that kind of resembles Photoshop, which is good, because I'm very familiar with Photoshop.

So far, my video editing experience has been limited to Sony programs. While working on editing music, I had become accustomed to working with Sony ACID Pro. When moving into the realm of video editing, I was recommended Sony Vegas. To my surprise, Vegas had nearly the same interface as ACID. While I'm still learning about new tricks in Vegas, I slid very easily into the program and was able to produce quality results with it.

Next, when venturing out to find a program to author Kirra/Cannon Pro's debut DVD, I was yet again recommended to a Sony program, dubbed DVD Architect. Lo and behold, the program shared the same interface as Vegas and ACID, while being slightly different to accompany the features it had. Thanks to the similarities in these programs, I was capable of utilizing them efficiently quicker than most.

So much to my dismay, the similarities in After Effects and Photoshop are small and rather insignificant. They both use layers, however, the interface is drastically different. While Photoshop is mildly easy to slide into, but progressively harder to use to it's full capability, After Effects is INCREDIBLY hard to get into. Messing with a clip of one of our first videos (put in reverse as a test) Fun Time, I had only manage to liquify John to the point where he looked like a slinky flipping backwards.

I'll be sure to put up videos of my After Effects experience sooner or later. I plan on doing some Let's Play style videos later on.

Project D Journal 1 (And more!)

I'm posting again. Shut up.

This last couple of months have been really interesting. I've formed a sort of team with my friend John Cannon and together we started making videos. They range from the not-so-serious (Trees, Trees II: The Treequel), to...the not-so-serious. It's no surprise that I wanted to move onto something with a bit of a darker feel. That is when I wrote up Project D. AKA, Desolation.

Now it comes as a shock to people that know me that I've had my mind on something like Desolation for awhile. While filming Trees I, we ventured deeper into the forest to find what appeared to be an abandoned construction site. As John would later phrase it, "It literally looks like a bomb went off here."

Upon further investigation however, it appeared the site wasn't really abandoned. The weekends were just an off-day for the workers. That didn't stop us.

The script for Desolation (the first movie to actually have some sort of plan) was cobbled together in a day and the lines were quickly rehearsed before shooting. The story followed two brothers, Gene and Mark, surviving together out in the desolated area with two other people (who were of little importance in the entire movie to be honest) after a large war-related disaster. Mark eventually goes insane and Gene has no choice but to off him. The intent was laughable and wasn't believable at all. But we had to make due with the time we had.

I was hoping for the footage to hold the viewer's interest, However, random trains and wind gusts plagued the set. Annoying video hiccups were present during some of my pivotal dialog. John's plan was however, to edit the video as is and release it with the intent of doing it much better sometime in the future.

I wasn't in agreement with this. The acting was purely laughable in some places and the audio was horrendous with random gusts of wind smudging out the dialog. Instead, we used the footage to make trailers. We soon ran out of good shots to use and I needed to find another option. Take 1 was to be archived.

A month or so ago, I began to revise and edit the script. Mark's malice was deepened and made realistic, Gene became more of a brooding character, and Ethan and Tim (the two other characters), were given depth as well. Extra precaution was put on making the scenario believable without special effects and care was taken to make the story interesting. This included various flashbacks (present in Take 1 but largely irrelevant) and increased dialog. The script nearly doubled in size, and I was yet again excited for the project.

So far, we haven't been able to shoot due to heavy rains (ON THE WEEKENDS ONLY), and it's kind of demoralizing in a way. John and I were intent on putting out a DVD (Dubbed "Sunset on a Distant Planetside"), which showcased various movies, with the release of Desolation being the highlight. However, with Desolation's Take 2 shot being postponed, the DVD might have to do without it for now.

Anyways, personally, life's been a little hectic. I'm ready to graduate and move on with my life (to what, I don't know.) I've been trying to hold interest in Doom but seemingly increased distance between me and my kind-of partner in crime WildWeasel has been putting me off. I need to get back into editing or something, but the interest isn't there. Hopefully things will pull through and I'll have some sort of project by the end of the year.

After all the blogs, all the angry messages, all the things I've said about her under my breath. What was it about? What do I like about her? Do I even like her?

Since day one, am I really just trying to relive those first couple days in her grace?

We've evolved so much. We've become something much more than we used to be back then. Yet I'm still uncertain what it is. She told me shes cares because I care. But why do I care? Is it because she represents something more?

I'm not sure anymore.

Today brought me something I've wanted for a long time..."the question" I've been looking for.

I've inadvertently spread a sea of animosity across my school. When I think about it, what do they have to hate? My concept of being hurt? My concept of being jealous?

When I look at it like this, what attracts me to her is the concept.

You have to wonder, am I really so sure of myself? Am I sure that I can let go?

I'm not going to commit myself to it. I'm going to do what you don't want me to do. Instead of letting go, I'm going to embrace it.

You are sitting there with your eyes passing over this message, word by word. But you don't understand what I'm trying to tell you.

What was it about?

The fighting, the meaningless bantering back and forth. The nights I spent wide-awake because I felt like I had no other choice but to think about the past. Will I go back to feeling the way I felt before? Have I evolved again?

The question doesn't need an answer. No answer is right for the question right now. The question is something that I have to figure out on my own. I don't know when I'll have the answer to the question.

Recently, I've been going to bed sooner and waking up earlier.

It's weird, for some reason, this wave of tiredness hits me when I get home from school. I'm not even sure what it is at the moment. It's kind of prohibited me from playing Doom or really, doing any activities that require me to stay on task for extended periods of time.

Maybe this chair is just too comfortable. Maybe I'm eating wrong.

On a different note, the new TGS Trailer for Resident Evil 5 looks amazing. I urge all three of you who read my blog to go out and play it when it's released. Resident Evil 4 was a blast and a great departure from the series we've come to know and love (cough).

Anyways, I've got this great concept for a Doom mod that I've been playing out in my head. Maybe I'll scklonk some ideas on here later on? (Extreme Measures is going to be continued, I promise!)

It's stupid to think about the details. It's stupid to repeatedly assault friends with a barrage of regrets and lost hope and overall general angst. She's NEVER going to really trust me or like me like I like her.

She says, "We'll be friends at school." So what? We're half-friends? What the hell is that supposed to even mean? Why the hell do I seriously care anymore? She stopped caring months ago. But here I am, writing blogs and being depressed.

There's not an end to this, really. What's funny, looking back, I was so happy that met her. Hell, even looking at the past posts in this blog show so much enthusiasm that I finally found "that someone". I wish I could go back in time. Not to fix my wrongs with her, but to erase "us" completely. I'd look at me walking to class on that day, and I'd say something like, "Hey, MARTY!" To my surprise, it'd be me, two years in the future. I'd walk up to my past self, and punch him in the stomach. "Don't bother with her. Seriously."

This would create an alternate universe where I was actually happy. Then I'd know somewhere, in some place, there was a version of me that was content with the way things go.

Things between me and her never get better. They get progressively worse until they get so bad they reset. This time around, they're getting even worse with no reset button in sight.

XM Segment 1: "Cloak"

They call me "the sweeper", and that's not that far from the truth. It's what I do, I sweep up the messes and they're never heard from again. I'm not just some janitor though. My job is a lot more lucrative.

Behind the happy faces showcased on those commercials on TV, "Phobopolis" was Hell. Overworked, stressed to the point of break, the people here were far from happy. Requests for transfers were made daily but never go through. Their terraforming of the moon Phobos was a scientific breakthrough. Nobody could shut the UAC down at this point. They were a global super power, and nobody had the guts to take them down, no matter how hard the evidence was becoming.

My story began a year or so ago. Back on Earth, I had no family, no friends, no home. I had nothing. To the UAC, I was a blank canvas. I remember that cold day, when they came through the old, forgotten neighborhood and took me and the other vagrants in. From that day forward, we were soldiers. Nothing more, nothing less.

Their goal, was to create a soldier without remorse, without regret. We were "living weapons", able to utilize nearly any everyday object and put it to deadly use. They wanted to utilize these "living weapon" to perform "certain tasks" that any being with a conscience would regret doing. When people who could "talk" about the UAC and give out vital secrets to the mass media started to become a liability, they give us a picture. That's all we need.

Soon, this liability is reported dead by some construction mishap. I've got to hand it to these higher-ups, they get really creative when it comes to making these "occurances" sound believeable. Day after day, the "Sweeper Unit" makes people disappear. The sad part is, the gullible public sees this as a job oppurtunity more than anything else. More people come in, and populate the space left by the last person. The process seems to rinse and repeat.

This is my new life. I've got no one to go back to. From the day they picked me up on Earth to now, I'll be known as "Cloak".

My Computer Froze (5) Times Writing This Post

Ah, so it begins. The same thing that has besieged all progress on my Doom mods before. Random freezing and potential viruses attack my computer when sizable progress as been made.

I really don't know what's the deal. It happens EVERY time. Hernandez? Doom Through Time? Weapons of Ass Destruction? Anybody play those mods? OH RIGHT, you couldn't, because I never could finish them thanks to my computer.

Day by day I'm slowly being convinced that I need a new computer thanks to these problems. Sigh.

Anyways, I'm thinking about a story for a mod I'm doing, centering around a shovel-wielding, gas-mask wearing character I call Cloak.

Don't Bother Knocking (The Door's Already Open)

I'm not going to bother to tell you that I'm back to updating this thing, because you probably figured that out with all the changes going on. But, I do promise (a promise I've broken before!) to update more often. Like the creepy dude across the street who invites himself to your little brother's birthday party, I keep coming back!

The last couple of days have basically been me camping at my own house.

Hurricane Ike hit, and showed no sympathy (oh come on, it was either that or "GREEEEAT ETHEERRR", or better yet, "fought for it's friends"). For the last couple of days, I've been without power, without internet, and worst yet, with copious amounts of boredom.

It really made me open my eyes to how much we depend on electricity for the simplest of things these days. Without our house lights on, we all went to bed earlier. Not to mention, I couldn't help but flick the damn off/on switch in my bathroom every time I entered.

Things to say, weren't as bad as they could've been. No damage was done to the house, mainly just the trees outside. We had food (and a endless supply of gatorade), so things went alright. Mosquitoes were everywhere, but honestly, that was the worst of it. Galveston (a town that is about an hour or so drive away from Houston) got hit pretty bad.

Thank their craptacular seawall for that.

Let's say, you go through two weeks where you get a total of perhaps...I don't know, 9 hours of sleep. That's a similar scenario that I went through while in vacation in Florida. You know, I don't think I've ever valued sleep that much before that vacation.

But instead of being woken up at 7 AM after going to bed at 3-something, you are now being woken up by load techno, people yelling, and a variety of other factors. I'm sure I went over this in my blog post below. Apparently, I really want sleep.

I don't know what is people's fascination with cleaning. I mean, waking up people from sleep TO clean. Like, "Wake up! WAKE UP SO YOU CAN PUT DISHES UP!"

Yawn.

I've had this one in the back burner for awhile now, so here goes...

I think one of the wonderful things about my life is the unexpected twists. In a world where simple turns are considered cliché, where slight adjustments are considered minimal and inefficient, there are twists.

Of course, it's nothing major. Usually, after a somewhat tough week putting up with unruly kids who don't typically respect you as a brother, you expect to...I don't know, SLEEP. Then again, how could I forget that Saturday was "Random clean up the house day", I can't be expected to sleep in. Now of course Sunday was my day for that. Oh wait, that's laundry day.

There must be some time limit on these things. Like, if you don't wake up at 8 AM, you can't get colors in, socks can't be put in, or something. Whatever the case, I was woken up at 8:01 AM, a mere 15 minutes after I had gone to sleep. I proceeded to slowly get out of bed, put on some clothes...just to see that nobody needed my assistance. I hate that I'm expected to be somehow nice and happy, fit and at my maximum potential right as I wake up. When you've been asleep for 15 minutes, you don't really tend to wake up pristine, happy, and loving. No, everything aggravates the hell out of you. For me, just seeing people all jolly and wide-awake irks me. People talking like its noon. I just tripped you? TOO BAD, I'M TIRED. What do you want me to do? SORRY, I CAN'T THINK STRAIGHT.

I also do some random things out of the ordinary. Like blogging in my head. I thought I had finally found my quick sanctuary. My four-year-old sister was still in bed, lucky devil. I quickly leaped into the bed. I knew it wouldn't last long, and she too was quickly taken from the faint grasp of Dreamland. It would seem all is lost.

As something to keep me from going insane, my current inventory consists of a laptop (which I am writing this blog in), my headphones, and of course my barely functioning iPod. Long story short about the iPod, I forgot to take it out of my pants before washing them and thus...well...it took a bath.

Well, I think that's enough of this for awhile...got to do laundry. But one thing I think was worth noting was the appearance of "barely dressed man"...yuck.

We all got our differences, sure. I mean, that's what makes us, us. Sometimes, differences bring us together, and sometimes, they break us apart. A good example would be my dad and me.

Teenagers of my generation are always made to be the rebellious, "I DON'T CARE WHAT YOU SAY!" kind of teens, who hate their parents because they couldn't get that game or that bike. I'm not like that, I mind my parents, and I try to be one less thing they have to worry about. I'm always home after school and they never have to worry about me sneaking out, doing drugs, none of that. I've come to live with my dad just because he always saw me on weekends when I lived with my mom. Plus, I tend to think nowadays, I was tricked somehow into moving over here. Now, don't get me wrong, I love living here. I wouldn't have met the people I've met or become the person I am if I hadn't moved. That being said, there's alot of aspects of living down here I truely dislike with a passion. But that isn't what I want to talk about. That isn't really what I want to vent about.

I hate being here because, it's being made out like I just moved here to improve in school. That barely scratches the surface of why I moved. Everytime that gets brought up, I stiffen up because that's a lie. I hate trying to fit in to this image that my father has seemingly planned out for me. I know school is important, but I dislike when it's shoved in my face at every turn. Every single day, I come home from school, I just want to get away from school. When he comes home, it's like the first question, "How was school?" school school school, I can't stand it. While he was in Singapore, he called and immediately asked, "How's Math going?" I was so tempted to just say, "Oh, my life is going fine, I think I've met someone special, it's great." I suck at school, but I try. After everything I do, everything I try, it all gets shoved in my face. "All you do is spend all day on the computer." I like how, if I fail a class or am failing, all of a sudden, I have no life.

I'm a sprite artist, I'm a rapper, and I'm a producer. I'm not an engineer, cars hold very little to no interest for me, I'm not going to go join the Air Force because my dad did. I work on my on schedule, when he's gone, I'm fine. I'm more relaxed, and I feel like I have more breathing room. I love my dad, don't get me wrong, but I hate feeling like life is all about school and education. I'm not like my mom, or my dad, I'm my own person. When they realize that, then they might understand me a little bit better. I know my responsiblities, I know what I need to do. Is it all that hard to trust me?

I recently had to format my computer...again. This time, my Windows XP wouldn't start up. So I had to do another system restore thus wiping out everything I had recovered (Which wasn't much)...again. That...sucks. But now I get to try to recover everything again! How fun!

Reflections: Week 1

It's time for a weekly reflection on...my week.

Has all three loyal readers may know, I started school on Monday. The week has been rather hectic, so let's get down to business.

Day 1: Trainee-
Monday, was probably the worst day of the week (Except Friday, I'll get to that though.). No one knew where they were going, the fact that the school is new and it's the size of a collage campus didn't help. The day was spent getting to know everyone, really. Most of my friends were in another house (They separate the students into "houses". There's three, Red, the one I'm in, blue, and white. How creative.), and the other 3/4 of my friends were in another school in the district. Lunch was chaotic. I didn't get to eat, the lines were too long, but oh well.

Day 2: Trainee-
Tuesday was the same has Monday, except we were learning about the "Seven Habits". Basically, the school wants us to be nice people when we get out, by teaching us these...habits. During each of my classes, we would go over a different habit by reading a PowerPoint slide written by Jesus. No, really...er...

What I meant was, that they seemed to be written by some almighty overlord who knows what's going on in every students life...yeah.

Day 3: Novice, and possibly, in love.
Wednesday, the best day of the week. There's nothing like having each "odd class" (1st, 3rd, 5th and 7th...plus advisory time, which I will get into later in the blog) last for 90 minutes...or 70, I'm not sure. Well, 3rd period is Spanish. If you don't know, I'm Hispanic, but I don't speak Spanish (Both of my actual parents do though). I sat down, and this girl sat down next to me. Besides the fact that she somehow looked familiar, she was, and I mean this in the best way possible, of god-like beauty. Her name is Nikki, but her actual name is Tina (Which she warns never to call her by) She was new, so she had no pre-conceived thoughts about me, which was great. We started talking, and soon, I made my first new friend at the school. Unfortunately, she had no other classes with me, so that kinda sucked.

Day 4: Novice, and waiting for Friday.
Thursday was spent waiting for Friday so I could meet Nikki again. Thursday, we come in at 9: 25 instead of 7:25, so I get to sleep in late. On Thursdays, we go to every "even" class...plus advisory time, for 70/90 minutes. A funny thing to note, is that this is the first day I actually got to eat.

Day 5: Novice, and pissed.
Friday goes back to having all of my classes in one day for 45 minutes. Although Spanish would be shorter this time around, I was still looking forward to it. When the time came, I arrived at class and noticed some teachers talking about moving some students to different classes. Nikki soon came to class (She got lost :P), and almost 3 minutes after class started, the teacher called Nikki up to the front, and gave her a sheet of paper. Nikki then said bye and left.

Now, there's probably a logical explanation besides "The school administration hates me." That though, would be my first thought. I was pissed beyond belief. Sure, annoying viruses are annoying, but actually knowing a girl who seemed to like me, then getting her moved out of class? That, deserves something else I'm not willing to litter my blog with...

That was it really. I obtained a copy of Oblivion, which is an awesome game. The only other event I can think of that's remotely mentionable is that I lost all of my data in a reformat. I'm currently typing this from my dad's computer, so yeah.

Maybe I might meet Nikki again? Why am I obsessing over it? The only reason I really want to go to school on Monday is to find what house she's in, and possible convince my school to switch me over. Like that's going to happen.

Well, remember my virus post? Yeah, that numbers tripled in the last couple of days. There's this annoy virus that will play the Google Pop-up blocker noise, and takes me out of my programs. It sucks. Oh well.

Lately, I've been working on Agent Hernandez...the character. I've been writing a pretty lengthy biography for him. Next up, if my friend Corwin (WildWeasel) doesn't write Olivia Diaz's bio, I might take it up myself. I don't know really. I am also working on the soundtrack...only one track will actually be used, which is kinda funny.

In game related news, I might be purchasing Quake 4, Oblivion, and Prey soon. I'm thinking about getting Oblivion first, just because it's something new for me. I need to play something besides FPS on the computer.

By the way, I start school again next Monday. Oh joy.

These days...suck. I hate having to splurge my problems into my blog, but why not...

Today, one of my friends accused me of playing has a girl (As in, IMing him has some girl). I know that his parents hate me, and some other stuff I won't litter the blog with. I'm a bad friend, always have been apparently. I said my good-byes to him over the mic, basically just saying that he was a good friend and I wish him well. It's sad, he's the first friend I made in this school I used to go to...Oh well right?

Wrong. I am back from my mom's, and am having a hard time adjusting to life back home. I'm so used to having to give my brothers and sister attention. School is just around the corner, my arms aren't functioning right, has I had to carry five text-books for my classes for an hour or so. I had to go to my school via walking, and get these text-books. Not to far from my house at least.

What more is there to say? I'm not sad, kinda disappointed if anything. I have no idea what to do, regarding my situation. Maybe, things will get better when school starts? For now, I'll just keep my head up.

Well, another night I spend looking at the internet until 5:00 AM. Lately, I have been beefing up my selection of PS2 games, along with getting a Codebreaker...

-Game #1: Darkwatch
After reading some reviews and looking at screenshots, I decided to seek out this game. No Gamestop around me seemed to have it, which really sucked. Has a last resort, I went to Blockbuster, and happened to find it used for 14.99. Not bad at all.

The game was alright, I suppose. The story mode has waaayyy to many cut-scenes, breaking up the action. I liked it though.

-Game #2: Mortal Kombat Deception
Finally, after getting a chance to configure my PS2 for online play, I went out to get Mortal Kombat Deception which eventually led to getting my Codebreaker...

The game was 12.99 used, which was great. The fact is that I actually already own it for Gamecube, so I really only got it for online play. I really didn't feel like unlocking everything again, so since I had enough money, I purchased a Codebreaker. After getting home and putting in the cheats, I finally go online. This is probably the worst decision I have ever made.

First off, everyone goes to the beginner room. Keep in mind that there are three rooms, beginner, intermediate, and expert. I soon proceed to challenge people, and start getting my ass handed to me. I didn't think the controls would be so hard to get used to. I was pretty good at the Gamecube version, after all. Plus, the people there were not really beginners (I have a feeling I'm spelling that wrong). So...can you return a used game? We'll find out tomorrow.

I'm probably going to keep the Codebreaker though. I finally got to unlock the Eddy Gordo costume for Christy in Tekken 5 thanks to some cheats. I even helped my brother with this Spongebob game he got for the PS2 (Believe me, he needed that help!)

Well, for things not related to my PS2, I'm still at my mom's house visiting. I will most likely be leaving soon too...Meanwhile, my dad keeps taunting me over the phone about my new graphics card. Soon, maybe I'll start posting pics for my Soul Calibur 3 Created characters. Who knows?

Gosh...I need to get to bed...

The day: The 28th. The occasion: My birthday.

Heh, well. it was indeed a nice one. I went to go see Superman Returns, which is a must see by the way. Other than that, I got BLACK for the PS2, Walking Tall (Yes the movie, one of my favorites.), these awesome dart-guns, and this remote control airplane. Pretty neat.

On the way though, is a new graphics card for my PC. New as in, the best I can possibly get. I actually have a really good graphics card a friend of my dad gave me, but it doesn't actually fit in my computer...Quake 4 here I come!

In other news, it's late. It's 3:47 in the AM...dreamland time.

The Making Of: Dawn of Tomorrow

"What is this?", you ask. Gimmicks that's what! For some random reason, if you happen to play Doom and happen to like weapon mods, then you should look forward to...the Hernandez Mod. Professionally known has "Agent Hernandez: Dawn of Tomorrow", this weapon mod combines a story with a fitting set of stealth weapons. Why am I making this post? Because I'm bored has hell...keep in mind that this mod is for GZDoom by Graf Zahl. For more on this source port, visit www.drdteam.org.

The story begins has Agent Hernandez is sent to a remote location to destroy a lab manufacturing what is known has the Mutant Gene. Although the story sounds sub-par to some, it gets more expansive has the player plays through. This is done through an experimental intro to some levels of Doom. Let's say you reach map 15. You'll get a short intro explaining where Hernandez is now and what he's discovered. This is also able to be shut off in the options menu. By the way, there is no guarantee that this is going to be in the final product.

Next, the actual weapons. Although not using hi-res pngs, the weapons will look and play fantasticly. Ranging from your two starting pistols to the AT-4 Rocket Launcher, you'll have access to a huge range of weapons. All these weapons use smoke effects and shell casings when nessasary. Not only that, but there will be no over-used graphics commonly seen in other weapon mods.

Lastly, the enemies. For the most part, alot of the enemies remain the same. Imps have been replaced by mutants, which come in three variations. The first is a basic mutant, packing a grenade launcher. The grenades are weak, but should still be avoided. The next mutant packs a faster pistol attack, while the last uses a flamethrower. The chaingunner has been replaced by a Super Mutant, which pretty much acts the same. The are two more replacements which will not be mentioned here...

Also, when the mod is released, be sure to try these console commands.

give goldenknife
give minichainsaw
give goldengun

These commands give you one time use weapons that you will lose when switch weapons. Now that I've showed off...see yah later.

The summer is here, I am visiting my mother and I am stuck on the crap computer. Yeah, it was mine, until a certain someone (you know who you are!) hacked it and put ad-aware programs on it...Now it runs like crap and I no longer have admin rights. So the battle rages on.

Besides all the computer stuff, I'm doing well. Not much to blog about really. Last night, I got some great input from my friend WildWeasel on my writings. Unfortunately, no one really likes to comment in my journal so I usually learn from an IM conversation on Googletalk what people think. Tonight, I will be finalizing the second profile on that page, which is for Olivia Díaz. This one should go a bit better than the one for Agent Hernandez. After that, I plan on writing one for Otto Seymore, who is a crucial part of the story.

I'm bored has hell. Again. So I am going to post a piece of this story I am writing for a mod I'm doing. Beware, I haven't actually thought of much for it.

After beating my arch-rival, Otto Seymore, I returned to the headquarters of -------(Author's note: Haven't thought of the agency name) and waited for my prize...I stood in my cubicle for I don't know how long...

Hernandez: What the hell is going on!
Officer: Is there something I can help you with?
Hernandez: Yeah! Where's my medal of honor for defeating Seymour?!!
Officer: Hm? Oh yeah, your that Hernandez guy right?
Hernandez: That's right.
Officer: Is it true what they say?
Hernandez: All the heroic stuff I've done?
Officer: No, the thing about you not knowing your name.
Hernandez: ...

THAT'S A LIE! WHO TOLD YOU THAT!
Officer: That's what everyone says about you.
Hernandez: I know my first name! It's...er...Stephen.
Officer: Stephen Hernandez? Ah, sorry about that sir.
Hernandez: It's ok, now, where's my medal!
Officer: I haven't heard anything about a medal.
Hernandez: Graaahhh!

(10 minutes later)

Hernandez: Ah! Secretary Díaz!
Secretary: Hey Hernandez, what's up?
Hernandez: Well, haven't you heard?
Secretary: Oh yeah! Fetching that donut off the flagpole! Who else but you!
Hernandez: Grrr....
Secretary: What is it then?
Hernandez: Any word on some sorta reward for me?
Secretary: Not at all.
Hernandez: Can I schedule an appointment with Cheif Roberts?
Secretary: Sure!

*Takes out a piece of paper from a notepad in her coat*

Secretary: I'm going to need you to put your first and last name on here.
Hernandez: Are first names really necessary?
Secretary: Yes.
Hernandez: Gah...fine.

*Signs paper*

Hernandez: Here you go.
Secretary: Alrighty then...everything looks fine. I will talk with Chief Roberts first thing tomorrow...By the way, I didn't know your first name was Richard.
Hernandez: Heh, not until recently.
Secretary: What?
Hernandez: Er, nevermind.

The Bind That...things?

I. Am. Screwed.

In my school, we have this thing called "Exemptions". Basically, you can exempt two classes, or AKA not take the final. I was going to exempt Art I and Speech. So today, I go into the main office during lunch, wait in the long line of people who I think are getting their exemption forms. Come to find out, this line of people were actually turning in their forms. Thus, when I come up to ask for one, I was DENIED.

This is serious, because I skillfully chose those classes knowing I couldn't pass the final. What do I do now? Hope that those two teachers have some mercy.

The Things That Bind.

Today was locker cleanup...and, since I lack a locker(actually, a locker combination), I got to goof off for 15 minutes. Five of those minutes were spent trying to open my locker, which when I got it open, some kid walked by and closed it. So, I went on rampage and closed every possible locker I could. Hey, it was wholesome family fun! After that, I slept through IPC (Integrated Physics and Chemistry), and then went off to lunch.

This is where the fun begins.

I lack money for lunch since I gave it away to people,(You know who you are!) so I am left the last week of school without cash. To top that, my lunch table was separated in two, so we have a short table consisting of 8 seats. So I sat there with a ton of people, moved tables out of pure annoyance, moved again when I found out I was sitting in some guys seat, moved back to my original table, moved again, and finally found a seat at another table. Then, while talking for what I assume was 3 minutes, the lunch bell rang and I had to go to my next class...the one I'm in now.

Desktop Publishing isn't a hard class, it's fairly easy. It's the work that annoys me. After finishing this work, I go on the internet and read stuff. Thus, leading me to resurrect my blog and work on it some more.

Lately there hasn't been much to talk about. The highlight of my day(or rather, night) is talking to my friend, Wildweasel (his blog is in my links section). After he gets home from work, I talk to him until I go to sleep using either GoogleTalk or Skype. Before that, I play some Enemy Territory or Doom, and make sprites for my mod.

Well, not much else to say...

Hoorah. I decided that I should update this more often, so here it is...

Not a whole lot going on in my life. I am currently in class typing this, but that's about it. My days have consisted of waking up at like 5:45, eating cereal, get a class of orange juice, then catch the bus that gets to school late. Then after what is a good day at school (A-Days) or a bad day at school (B-Days), I go home and get on the computer and work on...stuff.

Lately, I have been working on a mod for Hexen titled Doom Through Time. It uses Hexen's class system along with ZDoom Decorate weapons to make something that makes Hexen seem new. Unfortunately, I have a lot of ideas but can't seem to work them out.

A War with Words.

Hi, I'm Marty Kirra. I am kinda at a lost for words. It's 12:18 AM over here, and I am dazed and what not.

Over the last two months, I have been working on an album called,"War with Words". It's not a large scale project though, more like a minor thing. It was supposed to be released February 17th, but I was only half way done with the album by that time. So I am still working on it, hopefully I will be able to release it in a couple of weeks.
